I just updated to 2.8. Now I can not colour my alignments.
I uninstalled and reinstalled, but still not allowing colour.
My memory is fine. I updated Java.
Any suggestions on how to restore this function would be greatly appreciated.

Please open the console, try loading the example file at this URL (http://www.jalview.org/examples/exampleFile_2_7.jar), and send me the output after it has finished loading.
If you do get colour in the example file, then restart Jalview, and send me an example and console output where you get this problem.
