Hi
Ben had a brainwave over the weekend about ensuring Jalview users aren’t left with a broken installation should their Jalview installation’s over the air update system somehow get corrupted. To implement the fix he has updated the Jalview application and installers.
Please download and try the new installer at http://www.jalview.org/getdown/release/
Once again, let us know if you experience any problems. We are now putting the final touches to Jalview 2.11’s documentation and updating the website, ready for 2.11’s official release within the next 24-36 hours!
Jim.

Works a treat here: macOS 10.14.5. I like the new splash screen.
Fonts look a little weird though (see screenshot). Not used Jalview in a while so can’t say if it’s new to this version. Just checked 2.10.3b1 and it’s the same there.
Yes - that’s a known issue with Mojave:

There is a fix in this FAQ but we’d like to find a workaround that doesn’t involve jalviewers having to modify one of their system preferences.

…interestingly I don’t see any of these font problems on Mojave (10.14.4) with the exception of the WebServices progress boxes, but that is a different issue I think?
Geoff.
