I'm unable to resize the sub-window by clicking and dragging the
bottom right window corner in Jalview 2.4 on Mac OS X 10.5.6 (Java
version below), but it seems to work fine in earlier versions. This
prevents me from e.g. resizing a wrapped view to change the size of
the alignment block displayed. Is this a known bug?

The problem is the version of Java that you are using. java 5 on OS X
10.5 appears to not correctly redraw all the desktop area.
The work around is to quit Jalview, and then change your Java settings
so that the first choice of JVM used for applications is Java 6 (SE
version). When you launch the application again, it will start under
Java 6.
Hopefully you should then be able to resize the windows.

ps. I've seen some strange null pointer exceptions being raised by java
webstart when jalview is launched. If you experience this, open the java
webstart application cache, and clear out any old copies of the Jalview
application before trying to launch the app from the webstart link again.
