Revoked certificate errors launching old jnlp files

Launching 2.8, 2.9 or 2.10.0 jnlp files today gives an error “Certificate has been revoked. The application will not be executed.”.

java.security.cert.CertificateRevokedException: Certificate has been revoked, reason: UNSPECIFIED, revocation date: Wed Nov 27 09:47:32 GMT 2019, authority: CN=Certum CA, O=Unizeto Sp. z o.o., C=PL, extension OIDs: []

This happened to me once with all Jmol applications and applets when I pushed a button to switch to a higher security encryption level. I was with the GoDaddy security certificate rep on the phone at the time and he suggested I upgrade that and failed to mention that this single button press would instantly shut down all deployed applets and applications. I was furious!
