Request for weird data files for Jalview's unit tests

Dear Jalviewers,

We are improving Jalview’s unit test coverage, currently we have in place unit tests which covers Jalview’s automatic file identification protocol. The Identification system performs quite nicely with the standard data files currently available to us, however to ensure it is very robust, we wish to test with more ‘difficult’ data files.

Accordingly, If you have come across a weird data file in any of the following formats supported by Jalview: BLC, FASTA, PHYLIP, PDB, Stockholm, Clustal, PFAM, MSF, PIR, PileUp, and GFF, please kindly pass it across to us so we can include it as part of our test data.

Many thanks,
Charles

Hi Karim.

Thanks for your offer to help ! There is plenty to do with Jalview - I’ll send you an email off list to start the discussion rolling…

Jim.
