PID color change

Hi,

Is there a way to change the PID colors from the current "dark blue to light gray" scheme to something else? I don't mean the cutoffs for the "percentage agreement", but the actual colors corresponding to the cutoffs. Say, a gradient of medium gray to light gray would be great.

I have also had friends ask for the good-old Boxshade scheme of black to white, while the text color changes in the opposite direction.

Best,
Engin

Hi Engin, thanks for your email.

Is there a way to change the PID colors from the current "dark blue to
light gray" scheme to something else? I don't mean the cutoffs for the
"percentage agreement", but the actual colors corresponding to the
cutoffs. Say, a gradient of medium gray to light gray would be great.

At the moment, there's no way of changing the colour scale, but it wouldn't be too hard to implement.

I have also had friends ask for the good-old Boxshade scheme of black to
white, while the text color changes in the opposite direction.

Yep - this would be possible - we've had a request to include this for some time...

I'd like to propose these enhancements for 'bug fix' tasks for applicants to the Google summer of code who might want to work on Jalview. With any luck we'll get something implemented this year

Jim.
