Merging/Combining Two Groups

Dear All,

Is there any way I can combine my two or more groups selections into
one single group? All these groups are not adjacent to each others but
are distinctly located.

Regards
Imtiaz

Hello Imtiaz.

Is there any way I can combine my two or more groups selections into
one single group? All these groups are not adjacent to each others but
are distinctly located.

There's currently no way of doing this with a small number of clicks (ie - select one group and then add the other group in to that group with a single mouse click) - but I will add that as a UI feature request to be considered for some future release. However, for the moment, you could try this:

1. select the smaller of the groups and press the up or down arrow to reorder it once so all the sequences are bunched together.
2. select the bigger group, and then use CTRL+select to select the topmost member of the smaller group, followed by SHIFT+select to select the bottom-most member.

This will add the sequences in the smaller group to the bigger group.

Hope that helps.
Jim.

ps. With regard to the alignment diagram layout email you sent to the list, please send it again so I can reply to it !
