Dear Jalviewers.
The Jalview website has just been updated to reflect the release of Jalview 2.6.1 on 15th November, 2010, in time for the first Jalview residential training course that will be held later on this week.
The 2.6.1 release ``includes patches for a number of minor (and not so minor) bugs observed in the 2.6 series. The ``Jalview desktop includes a new warning dialog to inform you when any JABA web services cannot be contacted, and the following problems have been fixed:
-
Modeller PIR IO broken - cannot correctly import a pir file emitted by jalview
-
Transfer of existing feature settings to new alignment view opened by cut’n’paste
-
Improved test for mixed amino/nucleotide chains when parsing PDB files
-
multiple multiply aligned structure views cause cpu usage to hit 100% and computer to hang
As usual, please let us know via the jalview-discuss email list or issues.jalview.org if you experience any problems with this release.
Happy Jalviewing!
Jim Procter.
For the Jalview team.
