Jalview 2.5 Sluggish start

Hello,
Recently I installed Jalview 2.5; also seemed to have upgraded the Java version on my computer as well. The problem is that Jalview takes over a minute for it to showup after launching the application; in fact during this time, the browser freezes. I use Firefox 3.6.4. All suggestions are welcome. I am also appending the info from Java Console if that helps.
