I’m getting timeouts on Jalview checking the ‘check status’ service

http://rest.ensembl.org/info/ping.json

Jalview allows 2 seconds for this before timing out, but just now it is taking about 6 seconds.

As a result, currently unable to fetch from Ensembl from Jalview.

I will send a question to their Helpdesk.
