Hi All!

Anyone connected with chimera yet?

Seems happy with the path I put in but not executing.

I am using a mac OSX.

Any suggestions?

CHEERS!

Hi Michael,
I got the connection to work by using the same path I would use to start Chimera in the Mac Terminal, as described here:
<http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/startup.html>

For example, I have Chimera-daily-cocoa.app on my Desktop, and I entered this in the JalView preferences:

/Users/meng/Desktop/Chimera-daily-cocoa.app/Contents/MacOS/chimera

I hope this helps,
Elaine

thanks Elaine - we are still working on getting all the useful info in to the documentation.. this will definitely be helpful for Mac users. I've never heard of the Chimera-daily-cocoa app - does that automatically update the daily build ?

Hi Jim,
Oh, that was just the name I gave the Chimera daily build on my desktop! Other people would need to substitute the name and location of their particular installations.

Michael did try my suggestion (substituting the name/location of his Chimera installation) but unfortunately still had a problem. I'll forward his message to you.
