Hi Jalview

I am a huge fan of the software. recently, though, I have been trying to update my Java and this seems to have caused some problems with Jalview -
when i try to open a fasta multiple alignment from NCBI Blast, and opt in to Google analytics, I am advised that I cannot connect to dundee, :

I know how to change them, could you please tell me what they need to be changed to :

currently they are set to:
http://srs.ebi.ac.uk/srsbin/cgi-bin/wgetz?-newId+(([uniprot-all:$SEQUENCE_ID$]))±view+SwissEntry

and attempting to add new i dont know what works.

Hi James - sorry to hear you are having problems!

Can you browse the JABAWS web site on your computer's browser ?

http://www.compbio.dundee.ac.uk/jabaws/

The next test is whether the JABAWS services are functional. If you click on the services status link you should be able to see if everything is working.

If all the above work, and you still cant get Jalview to connect, then:
1. open the Jalview console window and hit clear.
2. Hit the 'refresh services' button on the webservices config panel - send the contents of the console window to me directly.
